Our Purpose
The SEVBC youth group exists to assist parents in developing young people who will not be despised, but are examples to all believers in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity."Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
Our Vision: (Our goal for teens by the time they leave our youth group)
1. Speech – As a result of a Biblical worldview, they are able to defend their faith, knowing what they believe and why. Their speech is gospel centered, and they are able to teach others.2. Conduct – They are sold out for God, evidenced by active involvement in ministry, and seeking God’s will and plan for their lives. They discern truth, and act on it.
3. Love – They have a heart for the lost, locally and globally, and also the vulnerable and marginalized (James 1:27).
4. Faith – They have a personal, growing relationship with God. They are devoted to prayer and Bible reading.
5. Purity – They are unspotted by the world (James 1:27) and are prepared to wage war with the culture (Eph. 6:10-13).
